Educator:
Roger has educated thousands through the retirement planning classes he’s taught at local colleges and businesses since 1997, and he's provided free educational sessions for a number of  businesses and community organizations.  The "Your Green" column appeared monthly in the Gwinnett Citizen newspapers for many years, and you can read more on the Your Green Articles & Podcasts page of our website.   From 1998-2017, Roger hosted the weekly educational radio program "Your Green" each Saturday on WNIV 970 AM.  Green Financial is a proud sponsor of the Dave Ramsey Foundations Financial Literacy program at Crews Middle School, and you can visit our Helpful Web Links page for access to the Foolproof online financial literacy program that is  accessible to all.

Green Financial Awards:

  • Best of Gwinnett Awards 2014-2023 (10 years) - Gwinnett Magazine - Winners chosen by a combination of readers’ votes and editors’ input across more than 20 business sectors.  Results are further vetted through available info, such as Better Business Bureau records.  Multiple winners in each sector may finish as “Best”, “Among the Best”, or “Ones to Warch”, depending on the size of the market sector.
  • Small Business Awards (formerly Pinnacle and Small Business Person of the Year) issued by Gwinnett Chamber are based on nominations in different categories. Nominees will complete an application covering growth, revenue, community service, and other criteria across multiple categories that will be reviewed and scored by a Chamber selection committee to determine finalists and winners
  • Best of the Best Financial Advisor Awards 2021 - Gwinnett Daily Post. Nominees are submitted from the community, and winners selected via a reader opinion/selection poll.
  • IMPACT Regional Business Award Finalist presented by Gwinnett Chamber. Recognize premier organizations in top industries that are driving economic development and job creation, while enhancing our quality of life. Finalists are selected from applications submitted with examples of the organization’s civic engagement, products and services, and overall mission. Applicants must also submit an outline of their organization’s future impact/plans over the next few years.
  • Small Business of the Month Award - March 2016 - Gwinnett Chamber based on community observations.  No survey or application was required to win this award”
  • Atlanta's Top 20 Financial Planning and Advisory Firms 2003. Is a listing that ranks firms by assets under management given by Atlanta Business Chronicle based on a questionnaire submitted by advisors.

Andrew Green and Michael Green Awards:

35 Under 35 Awards 2022 and 2023  -Gwinnett Young Professionals (GYP) a part of the Gwinnett Chamber. 70 finalists are selected from applications from those under 35 in the Gwinnett Community and judged by a GYP panel.  Of these 70 finalists, 35 young professionals are selected as the winners of the 35 under 35.

Roger Green Awards:

  • Invest in Others Community Service Award Winner 2021- Nominations submitted by the advisor, and the non-profit they worked with for 3+ years, are reviewed by Invest in Others.  Nominees must be active financial advisors holding a professional designation, and spending 75%+ of their time providing financial consultation with clients for 3+ years.  Nominations are evaluated based on leadership, dedication, contribution, and overall impact on a nonprofit. Winners earn donations from the Invest in Others Foundation to the non-profit.
  • Top 1,000/1200 Advisers State-by-State Ranking (Georgia) 2009-2016 & 2019-2020 and Winner's Circle Top 100 Independent Advisors 2007 & 2008  - Barron's Magazine - Nationwide awards determined based on questionnaires about the advisor’s practice in areas such as total assets, revenue, and the quality of the practice; ranked against other advisor submissions.
  • America’s Top 100 Independent Advisors 2007-2009, & 2011 -Registered Rep Magazine (now WealthManagement.com). This list was led by Discovery, an online database of financial service intermediaries published by the Financial Information Group and based on a proprietary methodology. Advisors were ranked by assets under management using the Discovery database system. Discovery maintains data on the registered representative universe then validates the ranking via direct survey.
  • Public Service Award Winner 2018 – Gwinnett Chamber – Nominated and selected by the Gwinnett Chamber, based on an individual’s service rendered within the community, over and beyond excellence in one's profession or business.
  • Advisor Hall of Fame Award (1 of 5 winners) 2009 - Research Magazine (now ThinkAdvisor.com). Chosen via nationwide nominations with a questionnaire and other supporting info about those who have 15+ years as a registered rep, superior business results, respect of peers, and active community involvement.  Designed to recognize advisors who bring honor to their profession.
  • The Footprint Award presented by 970 FaithTalk/104.7 The Fish Radio in recognition of dedicated faithful service to the Lord. “Your Green": is the longest-running program. Advisor hosted a radio program from 1998 – 2017.
  • Outstanding Advisors Award 2009 Registered Rep Magazine (Currently WealthManagement.com) for top-ranked advisors making substantial commitments to causes they care about. Ten Advisors are selected who exemplify the highest standards of professionalism and are active in charitable activities. Applicants are judged on productivity (Registered Representatives must be among the Top 25 percent of their firm in terms of gross production to be considered; Investment Adviser Representatives must have a minimum of approximately $100 million in assets). Winners must also be civic-minded and mentors to others. A minimum of 3 years in the industry as a producing Registered Representative or Investment Adviser Representative, a minimum of one year working with the Financial Advisor's present firm, and a clean compliance record. Full names and CRD numbers are provided, U4s and Form ADVs are checked. Three references must also be included. Nominees cannot be a previous winner.
  • Top 50 Independent Advisors 2008 - Registered Rep Magazine (Currently WealthManagement.com) for top advisors that have a minimum of 3 years in the industry as a producing Registered Representative/Registered Investment Adviser/Investment Advisor Representative; a minimum of one year with the advisor’s present firm, and a clean compliance record. Advisors must submit their names and CRD number as part of the application process for Form U-4s to be reviewed. Advisors cannot be a previous winner and three references with phone numbers must be submitted.
  • Business All-Stars Award Awards 2006 - Gwinnett Magazine. The Business Award Nomination selection process is determined through interviews with decision makers at companies large and small, where the following five attributes stood out as the criteria meriting all-star recognition: Vision, Conviction, Flexibility, Team Spirit, and Commitment.
  • Atlanta Salesperson of the Year Award Finalist 2006 - Kennesaw State University. The Finalist Award selection process is determined by the advisor’s sales performance, positive impact on their company, customers, community, and profession, as well as professionalism and ethics. Applications submitted by the advisor must include a letter of support from their supervisor (if the nomination did not come from the supervisor). The advisor must also be willing to provide contact information for a representative list of customers and co-workers. A committee is selected to review, judge, and identify the top applicants. The top applicants are interviewed (in person or by phone) by the judging committee members. As part of this process. customers and co-workers may be surveyed
  • Winner’s Circle State-by-State Top Ranked Advisors in America Award 2006 (Georgia) presented by Franklin Templeton Investments. Nomination process is determined by compliance and legal records. Leeway for pending actions or minor disputes is given by the advisor’s firm with affirmative or denial confirmation. Client satisfaction is determined by the advisor’s firm with input from management and client-satisfaction reports and random client interviews. Community involvement is based on previous Winner's Circle evaluations. Advisors are assigned a rating of 1-10 for community involvement. Other considerations are professional designations, team, platform, etc. Consistent high revenue numbers and gross revenue levels for retail (individual, high net worth, and ultra-high net worth) accounts over the past three years are considered, with a heavier weighting for revenue in most current calendar year. For partnerships, advisors will be considered on their percent ownership of revenue. Total assets for the advisor at their firm are considered. Also, a qualitative rating is given to the types of assets, such as assets that the advisor has under management but not custodied at his or her firm will be considered.
  • Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) is an independent membership organization of life insurance and financial service professionals. Membership levels are based on commissions, premiums, or fees generated for a given year from investment and insurance products. Members must apply annually and pay a fee.  Members must also adhere to the MDRT Code of Ethics. Top of the Table and Court of the Table are elevated levels of membership.
  • Advisor of the Year/Top Rep are awards based on production/gross dealer concession (GDC) and presented by Roger's broker/dealer, Cetera Advisors, LLC, (formerly Multi-Financial Securities Corp/formerly IFG Network Securities, Inc).
  • Roger was affiliated with MONY Securities/Mutual of New York from 1990 to 2000, as his broker-dealer, the following awards were presented by MONY:
    • Triple Crown Award 2000 - Recognizes exceptional achievement in three areas overall production, life insurance production and client retention. 
    • Theodore Shalak Award 1999 - recognizing the best record of long-term persistency and policy holder service over a 10 year period.
    • 1997-1998 Client Bulder Award is an award that recognizes at least 50 paid cases for the honor club year.
    • 1995 Equity Commission Leader is awarded in recognition of outstanding sales performance in equity commission sales
    • Top Fifty Club 1993-1994  - Award to recognize MONY's highest annual sales distinction
